- Alena Baeva | violin
Few works embody the connection between music and nature as impressively as Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. The cycle of the year unfolds in four violin concertos – from the tender awakening of spring to the shimmering heat of summer and the fullness of fall to the frosty clarity of winter. Vivaldi prefaced each concerto with a sonnet – presumably from his own pen. These verses describe scenes from country life, weather phenomena and moods and thus provide the poetic key with which Vivaldi’s sound images are revealed. In the soulful interpretation of violinist Alena Baeva, you can expect a unique listening experience of baroque program music!
