The Thuringian Legend Trail in Weißensee is the result of a project to reflect on our Thuringian origins. It was officially inaugurated in summer 2013.
As participating artists, Michal Schmidt, Torsten Ihlenfeldt, Eric-Arne Schiecke and Gernot Egwald Ehrsam want their works to have an identity-forming effect. The interpretation of historical contexts surrounding the mythological and historical origins of Thuringia and the town of Weißensee has resulted in four impressive sculptures that are well worth discovering. The playability of the individual objects makes it possible to engage directly with the works.
